Advent Calendar
… and that reminded me of our little children’s rhyme [sorry, my translation won’t always rhyme]:
Advent, Advent, one little candle’s burning,
First one, then two, then three, then four,
And then the little Christmas Child is knocking at your door.
And we used to continue jokingly:
And when you see the fifth candle burning,
You’ve overslept Christmas.
