Our Foundling …

… doesn’t have a name as yet, but at least as of today we know for sure now that it’s a little “girl”. We had taken her for her first examination to our vet, Dr. Patton, and he confirmed what we had already strongly suspected. Other than that, he said she’s healthy, but – at about 6 weeks of age – too young still for her vaccinations to begin. They’ll start in about two weeks’ time.

She has really got used to being here by now and is no longer by far as afraid as she used to be. Quite the contrary: she has started to explore the house. For the time being, we still confine her to the kitchen plus the dining- and living-room, and she scampers around with gusto. Once in a while she seems to be missing her mama still, though, when she tries to snuggle into our palms and suck. I’m sure, she’ll get over it soon.

Here there are a few pictures I took today:

Why is it that my hair is standing on end?  😉

I’m looking for a car:

Have found one! Are you buying it for me?

And I already know how to climb – all the way up to the top of my scratching post:

Oh my, how can I get down again from here?

  3. Precious, adorable, cuteness percatified!

    • Hi there,
Thanks for the praise. We’ll let Sister Fidelma know how cute you think she is. 😉 And we completely agree with you.
Take care, and have a good one,
      Pit

  4. Looks like you’re hooked! Enjoy!

    • Yep, we ARE hooked, line sinker and … well … hook! 😉 Last Sunday friends of ours told us they were looking for (more) young kitties, but we never really considered giving that sweet little darling away, even if 8 cats are something to take care of, and even if – out here we never know – another stray might come by. But we have manged as many as ten, so there’s room for more. 😉
      Best regards,
      Pit

  5. Just one word for “number 8”: Awwwwwwwwwwwwww😀
