It’s truly horrible what’s going on at present in a large part of the Rocky Mountains and elsewhere in the US: all those raging wildfires, and a plume of smoke covering close to half of the lower 48 states and reaching far into Canada.

Btw, on September 1 my wife and me will be going to Austin to watch the football season’s opener of the Longhorns vs. Wyoming. I gave the tickets as a present to my wife for the 3rd anniversary of our wedding. We’ll spend the actual day, Sep. 22, [plus 1 more] in Port Aransas.

Hallo Pit, ich finde es jedesmal erschreckend wenn ich Bilder von diesen Bränden sehe. Vor einigen Jahren mußten wir unsere Kalifornien-Route vor Ort ändern. Im September sind wir für zwei Wochen in den (kanadischen) Rocky Mountains. Ich muß mich aber outen, ich weiß nicht ob uns da im September auch eine Überraschung diesbezüglich ereignen kann, da ich mich noch nicht so damit beschäftigt habe. LG aus Deutschland, Princess

Für Deine Reise durch die kanadischen Rockies wünsche ich Dir schon jetzt viel Spaß: erhole Dich gut und komm’ gesund und munter heim. Ich denke mal, auch im Septemnber wäre eine solche §feurige” Überraschung nicht ganz ausgeschlossen. Ich halte aber die Daumen, dass das nicht passiert.
