This morning, at around 7:30, we had, according to the news [the local TV stations interrupted their regular programmes for a special news edition] an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 down here in Atascosa and Karnes Counties. But in spite of 4.8 on the Richter Scale being not too small an earthquake, neither Mary nor me felt anything at all. Well, I was in bed still, fast asleep, but Mary was up, lying on the sofa in the living room, and she felt absolutely nothing, even if the epicenter was just about 50 miles to the south east of us. People interviewed in the news, though, said that, e.g., pictures had fallen off the walls. Anyway: luckily nobody was injured.
