The cold spell lasted from about Thursday, January 7,  to Sunday, January 10.

And now we once again had  – thank Goodness, because it’s still quite dry – a beautiful, long-lasting rain. Yesterday and the day before we had a total of 2.5 inches of rain. The unit they measure rainfall in here is inches. The conversion formula to liters per square meter is something I need to find out still. For the next week (s)  a more spring-like weather with temperatures of up to 80 degrees Fahrenheit [that’s 26 degrees Celsius] has been forecast. Well, it seems to be bicycling weather again – and probably even in the short-sleeved jersey.

  2. Meanwhile I have found out the conversion from inches of rain to liters per square meter: 1 inch of rainfall equals 2.54 centimeters of rainfall which, in turn, equals 25 liters/square meter. Quite easy, isn’t it? Even a “maths whizz kid” like me can do it.

I'd really love to hear from y'alls!
